Solar, Heat pumps and Gas Hot Water Systems
A few examples of what we supply and install...
The Traditional Solar Hot Water System
Generally the easiest way to have solar hot water installed is a close coupled tank/panel system - they provide free heating of water from the sun for the majority of the year but it also comes standard with an electric in tank boost or can be coupled with an instant gas backup for large families or cloudy days.
A Solar Alternative - The Heat Pump - no roof access required
A heat pump is a solar alternative and it is technically classed as a solar even though it doesn't have the traditional panels, as the compressor gathers heat from the ambient air to heat the water.
Split solar hot water system
The split system or the active system has a separated tank and panels setup. The tank on the ground can either be gas or electric boosted and uses a circulating pump to push the cold water up through the panels and return it hot. The one main advantage to this system is that the solar tank is a lot easier to access for regular visual inspections and servicing.
Gas Instant and Gas Boosters
Small gas continuous flow systems can be used as standalone systems with the option of controllers - or can be used as a gas boost in addition to your existing solar. Gas high performance hot water systems provide constant hot water, fabulous warranties and reliable hot water flow through many years.
Gas Storage
4 or 5 star gas heated water - a basic cost effective hot water system that can be installed economically in pretty much every household that has gas and water.
